Over the past Three decades The BHARATIYA SINDHU SABHA has taken up several issues concerning Sindhis, Sindhi language and Culture. Some of the notable issues are as follows :
  1. Calling upon the Govt. of India to set up a Sindhi academy for study of Sindhi Language, Literature and History.
  2. The Union Govt and governments of various states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh where there are a significant number of Sindhis were requested to appoint Commissioners for Sindhi Affairs with responsibility for promotion and protection of Sindhi Culture and language and the redressal of grievances of Sindhis in all walks of Life.
  3. Establishment of a National Library of Sindhi Literature.
  4. Setting up of Institute of Sindhi studies independently.
  5. Construction of Sindhu Bhavans (cultural centres for Sindhis) with Jhulelal Shrines within.
  6. Declaration of Cheti Chand (the first day of the month of Chaitra) as a National Holiday.
  7. Inclusion of Sindhi Language in VIII Schedule of Constitution.
  8. Starting of Sindhu Darshan Yatra in Leh / Ladakh.
  9. Started a success full movement against removal of word “Sindhu” from national anthem.
  10. Started a success full movement against change of name of “Sindhu Darshan Yatra”.
  11. Pressurised NCPSL to recommence Sindhi Classes.
  12. Formed of Federation of various Sindhi Panchayats.
  13. Formed Sindhi Academies in Various States.
